- How many delineator posts does one kilometre of road need?There is no single number: the geometry of the road sets the spacing. Sparse on straights, tight on bends, with one rule — the driver should never lose one post before seeing the next.
- Which traffic cone height should I choose?Speed decides the height: small cones for slow traffic and indoors, 750–900 mm on the open road. The further away it must be seen, the taller the cone.
- What height should a speed bump be?Height is the counterpart of the target speed: as the target drops, the profile rises. Beyond a point, though, height starts producing discomfort and damage.
- What is a reflective class, and what separates RA1 from RA2?The class states how much light the material returns. RA classes are defined in EN 12899-1 in Europe and type numbers in ASTM D4956 in the United States. And the two do not map one to one.
- Water-filled or concrete barrier?Permanent protection calls for concrete, temporary arrangement for water-filled. The real distinction, though, is that the temporary classes T1–T3 cannot carry a CE mark.
- Road studs: solar or retroreflective?A retroreflective stud returns the headlight beam: cheap and maintenance-free. A solar stud makes its own light and earns its place where the beam does not reach — on bends and at junctions.
- How long does a GRP delineator post last?There are two separate lives and they should not be confused. For the reflective face, the floor specifications ask for is 60 months. The body material lasts 20 years under normal weather. The difference comes from the colour sitting in the material rather than in a coating.
