Installation
Method and tools needed
- Set out bollards to an approved layout retaining pedestrian clearance, service access and emergency access; separate the work area for the country and work scenario.
- Use the selected fixed or removable model's own foundation and fixing drawing; check the ground, underground services and any socket drainage before installation.
- Check body alignment, fixings and pedestrian clearance; for a removable type, check removal, relocking and the empty-socket cap against the product instructions.
Maintenance and cleaning
- Check the body, base and top for impact damage, bending or movement at the fixings; record damage and have continued use assessed by competent personnel.
- Monitor surface protection and any reflective band for wear; follow the selected material and coating instructions for cleaning and repair.
- For a removable type, check the lock, socket and cap; address water or dirt affecting operation in accordance with the product maintenance instructions.
Where it is used
- Pedestrian zone entry. The bollard cuts vehicle entry while leaving pedestrians and cycles through.
- Shopfront and facade. The bollard draws a physical limit in front of the glazing and the entrance and deters manoeuvring errors — it is not a tested vehicle-arresting barrier.
- Service road mouth. The removable bollard allows access during service hours; the socket is capped when empty.
- Car park boundary. The bollard keeps pedestrian islands and planting free of vehicles.

Standard reference
There is no harmonised European standard for an ordinary guidance bollard; the requirement comes from the authority’s specification. A vehicle security bollard is a different world.
IWA 14-1 classifies performance under a single horizontal impact, and PAS 68 does the same job in the British system. If a bollard is sold as a security bollard, ask which test it was classified under.
Manufactured to the order specification in the Turkish market; the governing document is stated in writing at quotation. A crash-rated bollard is a different product; the bollard we supply is for demarcation and guidance. Test results and certificates are shared with the report and the document.

State any need to open the line for servicing or emergency access. Select the mounting type for the use and access plan; confirm the removable model's socket and lock details separately.
Has this bollard been tested for vehicle impact?
No verified vehicle-arrest rating is stated for this product group. If impact performance is required, confirm the tested model, foundation, arrangement and test report before quotation.
Can the socket remain open when the bollard is removed?
Specify the correct cap and operating arrangement for the empty socket. If vehicles need to pass over it, request the documented drive-over load for the socket and cap.
